Run4It ~ 12km Run 2009
Once again, a heartious congratulation to Lavin. She did it again ... 10th placing ... a top ten position!
And to Vivienne, well done! Though one placing short of the top ten positions ... you will defintely make it at the top the next time. Keep it up! To all Kota Kemuning Pacers, another race in the bag. Well done!
However, there'll be a bitter sweet memory for some runners who participated in the race on Sunday, 15th November 2009. Some cars were broken into during the race and unfortunately, some Kota Kemuning Pacers also fell victim to the theft. It was such a shock. Wallets, handphones, car keys, house keys ... gone!
Our appreciation goes out to other members who had volunteered their assistance and moral support during the unexpected situation.
A lesson learnt ... we'll remember never to keep our valuables in the car in the future.

wah..that is why this thing happen n happen.I do hope future any race organiser must double remind runners to put valuable thing in luggage centre ,better in car.
I hope DBKL can put store lockers like in some shopping centre or even like in singpore park, outside toilets, sure got lockers...
So..lesson to learn.hope not so late.
Like KOTR,Mizuno...more than 10 cars broken also.
PMTEY
Athletes' cars are being targeted all the time during run events.
What I do is leave my wallet at home & carry a little cash, keys, photocopy of my IC & Driver license, HP with me when I go for race or training. I place some of it in a small pouch on my race / hydration belt & short's pocket. Sometimes I use a arm pouch. Of course this initiative does takes getting use especially the extra weight.
I do some housekeeping the nite before the race by keeping the car cabin e.g. on the floor, seats, glove compartment etc. empty of things, clutter (whether valuable or not). Extra clothes, towel, shoes keep in the boot.
If got budget, laminate the car windows with a security film to slow down their modus operandi. Hopefully they give up and leave when it takes them too long to break in.
Hope this helps
Cheong
